Fleet Week New York 2012

Fleet Week was from May 23rd to May 30th.  It’s an event that has taken place almost every year since 1984.  There were alot of tall ships as well as naval ships that participated.  Some of them were from other countries.

On Thursday, May 24th, I went to Manhattan.  I wanted to be by the Intrepid before noon to see the ships pass by.  I was only three blocks away when it started to rain very hard.  After twenty minutes of waiting in a spot where I was sheltered from the rain I decided to go and eat lunch instead.  I had a good lunch but I was disappointed.  It rained most of the day.

Here are three pictures that I did not take.
